P3/4 have been dividing and finding remainders. We started off in class using cubes and beads, then we went out for some #outdoorlearning and used natural materials to divide with in our Millennium Garden.

P3/4 are learning about The Water Cycle & conducted some experiments today. We soaked paper towels & hung them in different areas of our playground, then monitored their evaporation. We also poured water on the ground & used chalk to track its evaporation. #IDL @scottishwater

Just before the October holiday, P3/4 took part in #RestartAHeart day. We learned what to do in an emergency and how to perform CPR. We also learned how to put our casualty into the recovery position. We were keeping the beat of the chest compressions by singing "Staying Alive".

This week, P3/4 have been continuing to learn about Knights and Castles as their IDL topic. We made puppets and shields, and used them during our Technology greenscreen session with @NAC_STEM. We also explored Edinburgh Castle through the years, with sound clips of history.

P3/4 have been taking advantage of the sunny September weather and have been outside for some active maths! We were partitioning numbers, writing them on our wipeable bibs and talking about the value of each digit.
