learned this while working on a saas app last month
my *only* job was getting users to click ONE button
you have to actively keep re-calibrating to that
the true north
the problem with wireframing is where am i supposed to put the barrage of very visual and multidimensional ideas i get during the process
although i'll admit it is useful *sometimes* to get the ball rolling
on the agenda today
- draw up some wireframes to oil the machine a little bit
- create a mood board for the website
- recreate a design on webflow(practice)
- workout
im taking it really really slow
Design confession: I absolutely despise the ticker on websites.
Like there has to be a better way to showcase whatever you want to showcase than a moving train of distraction.
And it's not even about speed. Slow ones are just as bad.
My favorite thing about twitter has always been the amazing amazing writing that you get to see here.
It's so clever, so succinct, so different from anywhere else.
Want to learn how to write well?
Lurk on twitter.
That's all.
There is a general perception that design is easy.
It is.
That it is learnable.
It is.
But which part?
Implementation is easy, definitely learnable.
Conception though?
Not so much.
That's the hard part.
And also why not every one can design.
The future of work is:
• Being paid for value - not time.
• Working for yourself - not others.
• Able to travel - not stuck in office.
• Scaling worldwide - not locally.
The internet changed everything.
The future is bright.
