@kiTchenerd could be your charger or your I/O board (which handles the power input) is damaged, you'll have to take it in if that's the case
@lacykemp cool - if it starts happening regularly the drive is on its way out, make sure to backup :D
@lacykemp it means your mac can't see the harddrive, most likely due to physical failure - can you hear a soft repetitive clicking sound?
@aritedownzie should be shift + 3 > check your keyboard settings > System Preferences > Language & Text > Input Sources > set to US keyboard
@NolanMicron hi, open your User folder > Library > Mail > copy everything, you can also use a Time Machine backup to restore on new iMac :D

@Sulcalibur i often find repetitive freezes are an early indicator of hdd failure, make sure you've backed up before trying anything else
