@Bertrom @nicholas_sack @RealMrsHoney1 @GrimArtGroup The debate y’all are having is what makes photography so fertile. It’s a document and it is fiction. It’s used as evidence and we know it lies. It’s always both.

@WhaiteArt @nicholas_sack @Bertrom @GrimArtGroup That is a feature of the work, not a bug.

@fowler_ambrosia @FlakPhoto Ambrosia, your question made me think of this photograph by Larry Fink. It could be fruitful to use a wide lens with a flash and look for some gestural action out on the dance floor.

@Astrid_Tontson Love the playful solid strip anchoring the bottom of the frame!

@david_perell Idiosyncrasy makes strong artworks. Strong artworks polarize viewers and create debate. There is no higher praise.

@Joannechocolat You make an idiosyncratic artwork and someone appreciates it enough to want to buy it. What could be more honest?

COMPOSITIONAL TACTIC: Use strong vertical and horizontal rectangles to hold the edges of the frame. Look at this photograph by Philip-Lorca diCorcia. If we remove the vertical and horizontal bars the composition loses energy and the viewer's eye leaves the frame.

Edward Hopper wielded the "L-Shaped" composition. Check out how the strong vertical and horizontal rectangles ride along the edge of frame and help keep your eye in the picture.
