Just found a test run of my guitar arrangement of Bach’s Toccata from Toccata & Fugue in D minor, BWV 565. This clip was sitting on my phone & never shared anywhere (doing so now to archive) 🤳 Think I filmed the version that ended up on Youtube a day or 2 later

Bach displaying his ineffable genius in a simple Gavotte Trio. The oboes provide the melody AND a wonderfully dynamic diving/nesting texture, the violins/violas play a trumpet fanfare seemingly out of phase and the bass line expands and contracts the range between the parts.

In case you haven't noticed, the snippets of musical score that appear in Charles Schulz' "Peanuts" comic strip are always accurate. "I have always tried to be authentic in this matter", Schulz said, believing that the actual notes are most visually evocative.

#100daysofpractice day 95 Kayser violin study 19 My guitar arrangement of this "double picking" study. Good to practice with slap-back echo because: it sounds cool, fun to play, easier way to practice left hand part, echo creates a build in metronome, practice "sticky picking"
