I returned a phone call this morning from a woman from another part of the state. She had questions she was trying to get answered about what is going on in Ohio. She had called 10 news organizations in her area of the state. None had returned her calls or emails.

@mdavidbrown Not sure of your friend's particulars or if she just posed this rhetorically, but the following ? usually helps me, whether talking parenting or politics: Does acting on this position move me to love + community (albeit uncomfortable at times), or isolation + self-righteousness?
It does mean we should hold science in tangent with other disciplines, let love of God and neighbor (not our fears or pet interests) guide how we apply our scientific research, and fiercely cultivate humility as we seek to understand this world.
Our study of science will always be limited because we are finite, and the God who ordered this world is infinite and omniscient. That truth does not make skepticism of science a virtue.
