Kids have a meeting about dress code. Shoulders can’t be shown. I walk in wearing a tunic tank top with 1 inch straps. I’m a rebel 😂 But really I had no idea that was part of the dress code 😂

Next year I’m taking on 5th and 6th grade bands. I wasn’t too happy with the idea of going between buildings and being the only band person. BUT now I get to buy all the cute band room decor that my junior high/high school students would make fun of me for 💁🏼‍♀️

Schools are now structured so that the majority of student misbehaviors essentially have ZERO consequences…and that’s horrible for schools overall…but especially for the students that are not misbehaving.

Sometimes I get flashbacks from giving birth to Violet. A nurse said I was very calm when going through contractions. I told her that I teach junior high kids and they’re more of a pain 😂
