So @gmcuk is, in fact, opting to give PAs a number on a register, but WILL NOT regulate them, nor will they define scope of practice Cowards who are in it for the extra revenue but want none of the responsibility Burn it down - we NEED to stop paying fees to this circus 🎪🙉🎪

@thesalariedGP It doesn't seem like clarity is on the horizon. GMC says not up to them, it's up to colleges & professional bodies. Colleges say it's not their place & leaving it up to trusts. It's the wild west & no-one wants to take responsibility. & we're meant to be ok with expansion?!

I’m hearing the @gmcuk roundtable event with doctors today was a talking shop, with genuine concerns of the doctors papered over with platitudes and accusations of negativity. No real answers offered by GMC about anything of substance. What’s the point? #DisbandtheGMC

An FY1 brings home £10.61 an hour after tax. It’ll cost an FY1 65 hours of work just to pay for their parking at this hospital. That’s 3% of their yearly take home pay.

Hi @SteveBarclay, how come hospital car park charges for staff can be increased as per the retail price index, but when doctors, nurses and teachers amongst others ask for this, we're seen as greedy etc?

So after two rounds of strikes and 13 years of pay cuts, the government offer FY1s 70p an hour. As someone who just worked 39hr on-call over Fri-Mon with ONE rest day, not even a weekend, before being back to the wards I'm torn. Do I strike or do I just vow to leave the NHS?
