A5 Continued increase in use of robotic technology, especially as more players enter the market. The ability to control your own camera and assist instruments is particularly awesome in the rural setting #AWSchat

A4 Telehealth is certainly a helpful adjunct to keeping patients near home and surgeons connected to each other. Virtual tumor boards, consultations, and CME can play a great role in supporting rural surgeons #AWSchat

A2 Offering mentorship/rotations to med students and surgical residents is another great way to stay connected to academic colleagues, stay fresh on new techniques, and meet the next generation of awesome surgeons #AWSchat

A1 Rural surgeons are jacks-of-all-trades in the best sense. Endoscopy, trauma, vascular, thoracic, gyn, elective and emergency gen surg. Variety = spice of life! #AWSchat
