A bittersweet reunion after 5 years of separation. My mom is out of Gaza but she's lost half of her family including siblings, nieces, nephews & cousins, over two dozen in a single Israeli airstrike on Rafah, in addition to losing her house in Gaza City and being homeless, with nothing to return to. This war has brought on unspeakable suffering upon my family and all of the coastal enclave's population; I still have siblings and family in Gaza who are displaced and facing daily horrors and uncertainty. But we shall overcome, rebuild, keep smiling & persevere; Gaza will be a beautiful place that lives in peace & prosperity. I am forever grateful to all the allies and friends who have helped me support my mom & family.
@afalkhatib I'm so glad to see you and your mom reunited! I hope Gaza can be rebuilt into a wonderful new home and peace will be possible.
@afalkhatib I'm happy you were able to reunite with your mother. I'm reunited with mine outside of Israel too. Looking for a future of peaceful coexistence with Israel and without islamism nor communism, of any kind.
@afalkhatib You have her beautiful cheeks my dear friend. It's so great to know you're together with her. Enjoy every second.
@afalkhatib Lovely to see, Ahmed. Good luck to you both! All best wishes
@afalkhatib are there plans to get your remaining family out? I truly hope so. I imagine many are afraid to leave but I hope for their sake Hamas releases the hostages & we can finally get this war to end..
@afalkhatib I'm so happy that your mom is out and with you. Sending blessings for her and your whole family
