Generic layout components are a waste of everyone’s time.

@agilecoder They are very useful and I wound go as far as mandatory if you are using a design system. Without I find them pointless, as you don’t want them to be replicating css, but rather a rule or pattern that is standard across your ui.

@agilecoder Depends on your engineering team. Many teams don't have a lot of experience with the nuances of positioning and space in CSS/HTML. Better to give them a component as a shortcut than having to teach every one of them how CSS works and how to properly apply your space tokens.
