@EnvAgency Or if you did your jobs of dredging rivers, clearing gully’s and drains and creating flood defences we wouldn’t be having these problems. Things used to work years ago when public money was spent on public good such as dredging

@Keir_Starmer Except for farmers children, your happy to take their chances away from them
@audlemagronpaul Didn’t realise they had kangaroos in Merseyside 😉
@DrDavidRouse @TheBMA That is if you worked 40hours a week every week. Factor in paid holidays and bank holidays

Day in the life of an agronomist 13.2 miles walked. Luckily the new boots were easily broken in the last few weeks. Today was maize and spring cereals with some grassland thrown into the mix. Beautiful sunrise in the vale at 5am this morning followed by a scorcher
@audlemagronpaul @agricontract @lloydbrosruthin these forward thinking regenerative farmers may catch up with the Welsh lads one day 😉
@agronomist_ben @lloydbrosruthin not long until the hybrid is ready. End of this week maybe?
@lloydbrosruthin @Lecifence I was just going to ask is this the hill on the Clwyd gate above the blue shed. Think its due another reseed now? Have you found any willing drivers? 😳
@audlemagronpaul Pubs opened in wales on Monday. Now raining on Tuesday..... the great British summer has begun
@Rob_ClottonHall And all seats fully in tact? You must be feeding him enough now so he doesn’t have to eat the upholstery 🤣
Spring Barley is already on the move! Currently flying out the ground
#springishere sunny day in the vale of Clwyd. Best job in the world on a day like this!
@ACQuinney @lloydbrosruthin have you worked out your cost per head?
Undersown Maize looking well Field can’t be grazed as isn’t fenced & away from farm. Bit of an experiment being a light soil we are going to try and roll it to flatten maize stalks. Then will be mown and baled to be used as feed for outwintering heifers on kale. Watch this space
Late drilled winter wheat, not much to look at above ground but good to see it’s rooting down well. This is after very long term grass, seed treatment protecting against wireworm. Poor p&k indexes so half P&K applied before sowing & half will be applied now with 1st N
@FarmersOfTheUK Nice to see the sleepers getting laid finally
Beautiful day to get out and walk some fields. Winter wheat and winter barley will be having their 1st dose of fertiliser to encourage rooting and tillering. Urea is a good 1st dose incase of heavy rain following application it won’t be leached away
Today’s interesting fact. 690ha of arable ground is lost every 30 minutes, meanwhile there is an extra 3400 mouths to feed every 30mins. And we are being told not to worry about food security and we can import our requirements. #BuyBritish #britishfarmers #foodmiles
