Pick your town: moonset, dark hours and meteors to expect, night by night.

Fuji's skyline comes from Japan's elevation data, the sky from the ephemeris. Every Orionid is a grain of Halley's Comet.
Built with Claude Opus 5.5 + three.js.
Tonight is the best night for the Orionids. Not tomorrow's peak.
The Moon sets an hour later every night, so the dark hours shrink toward the peak. The meteors don't.
Lake Yamanaka, Japan, tonight: the Moon sets right on Mt Fuji's summit, then the dark belongs to the meteors.
Slide the date and the whole valley turns, the high slopes first, then fades to brown by late November. Drag to look around.

Peak autumn in the mountains of northern Japan lasts about two weeks.
This valley stays at its peak. The trees, the morning mist and every falling leaf are drawn live in a browser. No footage.

How it was made:
1. Beach: the three.js scene in the quoted post
2. One frame → GPT Image drew AO from our dance crew Let's MOVE!
3. Kling 3.0 animated the walk
The glow at her feet is the video model's guess. The waves started as mine.
For a week I've coded nothing but water.
Perfect beaches. Zero visitors.
So tonight I gave one frame of this one to a video model and asked for a guest.
She walked in, ignored the camera, and stared at my waves the whole time.
Finally, someone appreciates the foam.
Bioluminescent waves, but every pixel is code.
No footage, no video model. The waves, the foam and the blue glow are computed live in your browser, and the water lights up wherever you drag your finger.
Would you swim in it?

Touch the surface and your ripples bend the beams.
Each pixel walks down through the water asking one question: did this bit of sunlight get past the leaves?

Code (MIT): github.com/aiimpl/cenote
Wanted to dive a cenote. Can't hold my breath.
So I asked Claude to compute one.
No footage. Every shaft of sunlight is traced through the trees, the ripples and the water, live in a browser.
Oxygen: unlimited
Fish: still in the backlog
