Wanted to give @IBMcloud a try this weekend. Couldn't upgrade to their pay-as-you-go account. So I reached out. Answer? Provide 2 government ids in 3 days or else account closure. I use AWS, GCP, Oracle regularly. Don't recall ever threatened to collect my info as much as @IBM 👎

@ethicalpaul @marcoarment Just remember a lot of people can’t pick what they work on and pay bills at the same time. I envy those who can

@Izzy_Niu I don’t think we know the root cause of the hack yet. They were able to break 2FA. Your account is probably not immune. I wouldn’t celebrate so early lol

@NeerajKA My parents kept asking me why western people do not wear masks and seems do not like Asians who wear them? ppl in china were informed droplet is the main reason for transmission and mask helps prevent contact with droplets. All I could answer was maybe it’s a cultural difference?

@Muge_Niu I grew up in China. I used to have this fantasy that developed countries like the US take care of their poor

@Muge_Niu I worry a lot about my mom working in a hospital. They don’t have enough face masks and exam gloves. She also needs to walk to a different floor to wash hands. Luckily my parents community recently got sealed off so she can’t go to work. I still worry about them
