We specialize in tractography, an advanced imaging technique for mapping and visualizing neural pathways in the human brain.

What other occurrences in the brain would you like us to animate? 🧠🤔
Chronic stress hinders the cellular housekeeping process autophagy. Boosting it has the potential to restore normal neuronal activity and treat depression

Principal Component Analysis (PCA) is the gold standard in dimensionality reduction.
But PCA is hard to understand for beginners.
Let me destroy your confusion:
Correlation is the skill that has singlehandedly benefitted me the most in my career.
In 3 minutes I'll demolish your confusion (and share strengths and weaknesses you might be missing).
Let's go:

If only we could record single neurons in humans? Wait, we can. It does semantic coding of words (among lots of other things we know).
Amazing work by Melissa Franch, Ben Hayden et al.

Neurotoxic dark microglia: a missing link between brain aging, myelin loss and neurodegeneration in (models of) Alzheimer’s disease? cell.com/neuron/fulltex…
Alzheimer’s pathology begins decades before diagnosis, starting with amyloid. Stopping Alzheimer’s will require early detection of brain amyloid and intervention with safe drugs and lifestyle. Treating amyloid after diagnosis is too late - as with cholesterol and heart failure.
🚨NEW PREPRINT: An atypical phenotype is a risk factor for higher mortality in Alzheimer’s disease
@ilse_bader shows that an atypical (non-amnestic-predominant) clinical presentation is an important risk factor for mortality beyond age, sex, education, APOEε4-carriership and…
Are you interested in distinguishing region-specific longitudinal changes in resting-state functional connectivity related to “normal” aging and to early Alzheimer’s pathology?
Then keep reading about your preregistered study and our fresh preprint! 🧠

What do you have for favorite neuroscience books read this year, #neurotwitter? Looking for some good reads over holidays.
I'll start with this one. Leave it to a non-neuroscientist to write one of the best neuro books I've read in years. Thanks to @andreashorn_ for rec
