On average games with Russian localization sell 3 times better in Russia. For China and Chinese it's 7 times better with localization.

When I started my career as a freelance game translator 13 years ago, agencies offered me €0.10 per source word. Nowadays, they say €0.07 is too high and some of them tell translators they can only pay them €0.04 per word! I find it distressing, really. #xl8 #gamelocalization
