In app development, what's your favorite approach to connect your client side to the server side? Example 1: an Express REST API or GraphQL between @reactjs and @nodejs. Example 2: Django REST Framework between a JS frontend and a @djangoproject backend. What's your go-to setup?

I had two calls with potential Authors for @EducativeInc today. One ❤️s the @SpringData ecosystem (esp. JPA) for connecting to databases. The other ❤️s @laravelphp's strengths for building scalable, testable cloud applications. The joy engineers have for their craft makes my day.
