Road traffic crashes are not “accidents”. When someone drives drunk and crashes, it’s not an accident. When a driver is distracted by their mobile phone and crashes, it’s not an accident. When a motorcyclist dies because they’re not wearing a helmet, it’s not an accident.

Please read the @WHO Global Status Report on #RoadSafety. it is clear that road safety needs to be a higher priority in the global agenda. It's now the biggest killer of children and young adults across the globe and 1.35 million people are still dying on our roads.#TimeForChange

Very timely survey ... big risk to #RoadSafety that too many drivers will “switch off” even when they should be fully alert and awake. Level 3 worries me especially. We must find solutions here. #automation
