I've been listening to Collum interviews since about 2016 via the @peakprosperity podcasts. He's interesting, but definitely too conspiratorial in this boomer kind of way where the gov is this hyper competent entity that plays 4d chess and can plan years in advance how it's going to manipulate us. It's this idea that, yeah the gov is evil, but at least they're competent and can control everything. No, they're often times reactive and their power is not infinite. You can't stop a technology whose time has come.
