Been pondering this. It was an elegant turn of phrase but the meaning was lost on my Dad who initially thought a ‘pleasant surprise’ was some kind of good news. I felt there was a social class gap at play in part. Also….1/2

Dear @RishiSunak, I dare you to follow a disabled person through the PIP application, assessment, mandatory reconsideration when refused and then the appeal process and still say that the system is easily exploited. The whole thing is brutal from the long and drawn out…
@damien_page @alisonpearsonSW Indeed.Teaching as a disabled person is very difficult, not least trying to manage medical appointments.Little things would’ve made a huge difference to me. E.g. our library had a key pad entry (torture for my hands/fingers), so I couldn’t get in. I was the sole English teacher.
