The State of #Telangana conducted a series of Dissemination Workshops from 10th to 13th June 2025 at the Telangana Institute of Rural Development (#TGIRD), #Hyderabad. These workshops were organized to share key insights from Panchayat Advancement Index (#PAI) Version 1 (FY 2022–23) and to introduce the key features and proposed implementation approach of #PAI 2.0. The workshops were conducted over four days, covering all 32 Districts of #Telangana. Each day saw the participation of approximately 80 officials, with a cumulative participation of about 320 officers, including CEOs of Zilla Parishads, #DRDOs, #DPOs, #DLPOs, #DPMs, #MPDOs, #MPOs, and Panchayat Secretaries. The sessions were addressed by Dr. G. Srijana, Commissioner & Director, Panchayat Raj and Rural Employment, Government of Telangana, and Shri P. J. Wesley, Deputy Commissioner, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, Government of Telangana. The discussions focused on the rationale and structure of the Panchayat Advancement Index and its relevance for local-level planning and monitoring. The sessions also facilitated a better understanding of the data-based approach to improving the performance of Gram Panchayats across key development themes aligned with the #LSDGs. The workshops in Telangana reflect a constructive step towards building awareness and technical understanding of the PAI framework among key Panchayati Raj functionaries in the State. #MoPR #PAI1 #PAI2 #LSDGs #PanchayatAdvancementIndex
