1000 years old gold roof of the Chit Sabha of Nataraja Temple, Chidambaram, India. The roof has been laid using 21600 gold tiles with the word "SIVAYANAMA" inscribed on each tile and is fixed using 72000 nails. The roof was commissioned by Chola king Parantaka Chola in 950 CE.

The handprints of the wives of the Maharajas of Jodhpur who have committed sati, located at the 17th century Mehrangarh Fort in India. Sati was a practice, now largely historical, in which a widow sacrifices herself by sitting atop her deceased husband's funeral pyre.
