At this point it would be more cost efficient to get a job at McDonald's than navigating all the different gitcoin rounds. 50 hours applying, form filling, and shilling for a few hundred dollars. Or sling some tacos on the street corner for public goods funding?
@antonio_paglino Since when did mcdonalds start selling tacos?!?!?! 😏 haha jk I definitely understand where you are coming from....it's a lot for sometimes little.
@antonio_paglino It's a bummer for most grantees, best shillers win as opposed to projects with potential or maybe we should have lessons in shilling?
@antonio_paglino that’s why I called it quits many rounds ago. not worth the time
@antonio_paglino any kind of raising is a popularity and loudness contest - not just gitcoin - VC, PE, or philanthropy also. Have you applied for a govt grant or even a blockchain foundation grant program or normie charity grant? Gitcoin is 100x easier, more fun, and expedient.
@antonio_paglino Put it in a feedback to develop the procedure - - - let's not trow away the baby with the dirty bath water please - - - it's the only fund - - - ehi what about @Giveth? Did you try?
@antonio_paglino Word. It’s not a rug pull per se, but they definitely move the goal posts, and are basically forcing the grantee to troubleshoot/build their no-code website for them.
@antonio_paglino That’s one of the reasons why HyperLocalizer was started t.me/hyperlocalizer
