20 YEARS AGO! 🤯 As we prepare to celebrate this milestone on Arduino Days 2025, we want to hear about your fun and fond memories... What was your very first Arduino board?
@arduino My first Arduino was Leonardo. I don't remember the first project, but I built @samykamkar 's KeySweeper ( wireless keyboard sniffer) 10 years ago and it was fun. It used Arduino Pro Mini

@arduino In 2007 i made it this one and that one. Good old laik days.
Still have my Uno from high school (2009-10)! Got me into robotics and propelled me further into software engineering which is my career. This little buddy also helped me win a few prizes at various competitions that funded my first road bike, one of my biggest passions! Thanks a lot, @arduino! You’ve helped shape the professional I am today! Beyond grateful!
@arduino 2009, homemade pcbs and 3 months looking for the 328p-pu 😂
@arduino My first Arduino was an Uno, I got a Nano too, want to get a MEGA and a Pro Mini to add to my collection 😁
@arduino My very first, Arduino uno 🫴🏽
I've had one in my Jeep for years. I used it with a CANBus transceiver connected to the powertrain bus to spoof the ID of the logic module for the "Smartbar" (electronically disconnecting swaybar that's part of the Rubicon package). The bar has a goofy design that is poorly sealed, so water eventually gets in and damages the logic board. You can replace it obviously, but they only sell it as an assembly, so its $1900 and will eventually have the same problem. Common solution is to replace it with a 'Dumbbar" (a manually unlocking one with pins) but you are stuck with the less bougie option you have to get out to lock and unlock AND you have a swaybar fault light on the dash. I used the Arduino and some relays to spoof the original board, read the control signals from the button and send the correct status info to make the dash indicators work normally and actually operator the actuators to maintain the original functionality (although the logic board was damaged the motor and clutch still work fine). Took about 60 hours because none of the CANIDs are documented anywhere that I had access to so there was a lot of trial and error.
Arduino was essential as a starting point in my high school computer technology program. From the ground up students learned electronic circuit design using Arduinos, breadboards and components. Once we had the medium figured out we got into PC building & networking. There were some exceptional highlights: x.com/CWcomptech/sta…
@arduino Duemilanove. It is still in use, it measures temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure in my basement with a BME280 sensor.
@arduino Happy birthday Arduino! 🎂 Vittascience actually started from an Arduino project (a hot air balloon with in-flight weather measurement based on Arduino Uno).
@arduino 2014 , arduino uno, made what apparently everyone makes as their first arduino project , a obstacle avoidance car using ultrasonic sensor.
@arduino This is my first one—still in use.
@arduino oh man.... so much happened in my life because of you tysm arduino!!
@arduino As crazy as it sounds, my very first board was MEGA 2560 6 years ago, it was a gift from my parents when I started tinkering with electronics and programming in school. I don't know how it survived all this years and countless short-circuits and overloads, yet still works as new.
@arduino First Arduino was a Rev3, and I was building essentially a Smart Car Kit out of wood. The idea being to have it drive along large sheets of paper and draw perfect grids (because why use a printer?) Never finished it, and it was school issued equipment, so I didn’t get to keep it
@arduino Arduino uno. First project beyond the basic learning ones was adding a particle sensor and 4x16 display matrix to measure and show how much wildfire smoke was blown in from nearby fires.
@arduino 🍾 Good old Eagle PCB. I miss that schematics 🙂 BTW I still has my Leonardo. It was my first Arduino, I bought it when it come out. I used that thing so much that the USB connector gave up the fight.
@arduino 20 years!! ⏱️✈️ ‼️ My 1st was an Arduino Mega running the Marlin firmware to control a RAMPS board for my 3D printer. At the time it was a mind-twisting intro to microcontrollers, but one that’s been helpful long term. Many Thanks!
@arduino In the past 20 years, scientific and technological innovation has entered the era of rapid development, and plastic products have also progressed. The shape is more streamlined and beautiful, and the color is more colorful.
@arduino Honestly, and I don't say it lightly. Truly one of the all time best products and business models I've ever seen.
@arduino I made an engraving laser machine using Arduino uno
@arduino My Arduino Nano has been patiently waiting for its moment of glory..... 2025 ig!!!! This is your year, little buddy!
