#PR gets a lot easier when you stop wasting your time doing things that don't move the needle. - Blanket pitches - Promoting things that have no news value - Company events. No one cares that you're hosting a webinar. Truly. What am I missing?

99% of #PR pitches I edit don't clearly state: - What the story is - Why [expert] is qualified to speak on the topic - How it ties into the greater trend or industry - What the CTA is Too much marketing jargon. Not enough #storytelling.

If it's not #news, the press won't care! Things that are not news: - Updated branding, website...etc. - Pricing/packaging changes - Webinars that your company is hosting - Product updates/V2s/revisions - Company culture stories (most cases) What else am I missing, #PR pros?
