Today I got up, made sure my lesson plans and activities were meaningful for my students, prepared food for my athletes, and coached my 5th sport for this school year. Today I also received surplus notice from my school. This time of year really sucks.

I always teach that mathematical process is more important than the final answer. Today, I gave a systems of equations quiz and included the answers (each POI). Their whole task was to show me the in-between. After the initial shock they looked relieved. They could do this.

Building a program starts by building a community. This year every Sr volleyball player has a jr mentee - they help to develop skills, communication, confidence, and court awareness. Each practice ends with the teams warming up/cooling down together. Community builds programs
