Marcus Spears, with some very pointed remarks about the shooting during the Kanas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade: "When I first heard it, you know what I thought, unfortunately, is this is who we are. This is who we are. So, now the ever-revolving cycle is going to start. The news outlets will talk about gun control. They'll have politicians from either side to talk about what needs to be done....And then we'll have a 'prayer's up,' I'm sure that's what's happening right now..."
Adam Schefter weighed in with some strong remarks of his own. "We are left here now to try to make sense of this particular situation. These images are happening everywhere all the time, every day, every week in this country. It's disgusting. It's sickening. It's enough. How many times do we have to see this everywhere? "Today, it's the Chiefs' turn; it's at a Super Bowl parade. Tomorrow, it will be somewhere else. Somebody else will lose their life, and we will continue to come on and try to make sense of something that is inexplicable."
@awfulannouncing @4lisaguerrero Yep. Damn tired of Republican thoughts and prayers. Just freaking DO SOMETHING about gun control
@awfulannouncing Coming from the UK this it is absolutely mind boggling to see this happen week after week. It's very rare to see even armed police here and I have NEVER seen a single civillian with a gun here in 30 years of life. Change has to start somewhere in the US.
@awfulannouncing Can we talk about how the NRA-loving governor of MO was running scared, surrounded by police?
@awfulannouncing Nope, the republicans will not talk about what needs to be done, they will only talk about what they WON'T DO!
@awfulannouncing Shooter was tackled by some unarmed fans Guess you don’t have to be a good guy with a gun to stop a bad guy with a gun after all
@awfulannouncing Spears owns multiple guns. Hypocrite.
@awfulannouncing Odd how the media is silent about the trans shooter in Houston over the weekend shooting at a church then stopped by armed officers off duty attending the mass.
