Hacky branch so far: git.kernel.dk/cgit/linux/log… with 93 patches in there. The last patch is just a test patch to enable building without ->read() and ->write(), it'll fail on various drivers currently. WIP...
Anyway, if you want to help, send me an email and I'll get you started. Warning: it's pretty boring and not very hard work. The end goal is the bonus here, not the work itself.
@axboe Those patches will mean a lot more efficiency and speed from the same hardware. Multiplied with, in a few years, billions of Linux systems, this makes a real difference. Thank you.
