Religion and belief are protected characteristics and prayer is intrinsic to being Muslim and believing/practicing Islam. The language of “safeguarding”, “care”, “British values” etc is often utilised to justify stripping Muslims pupils of their religious rights and freedoms…

@ayokhalil8 It's a secular school. That means no religion whatsoever; no faith of any kind and this is highlighted clearly in the admissions process. If pupils wish to pray they are free to do so outside of school or enrol at a faith school relevant to their religion.
