Even thought certain non dental subjects like biochemistry, physiology, G.anatomy and embryology seems useless to dental students they hold quite a lot of importance as even though we deal with oral cavity we cannot say that its not interconnected to the whole body.
In dental profession we dont just name teeth in normal le man terms like 'incisors' but instead there is specific nomenclature for both the tooth and the region of the mouth, like labial, lingual , buccal etc
Anatomical subdivisions are really important to make a hard field of study like human anatomy comparatively easier to understand It is divided into 11 parts which are Cadaveric,living,embryology,histology ,surface,radiographic, comparative, physical anthropology and more
