In case anyone is still on the fence about which AI subscription to get: Just go with Claude. Forget GPT-6 Astra, Kimi K3.1 Pro, or chasing any new frontier drop. As of today, nothing comes close in terms of day-to-day writing and coding quality, usable limits, and raw value for money.
@AKirtesh Anthropic heavily subsidizes usage way beyond what open-source can offer, and the models are too big for consumers to run locally.
Finally a frontier open-weight model at half the price of opus. Kimi k3.1, per 1M tokens: input $2 (opus 5.5: $4) output $10 (opus 5.5: $20) cached input $0.20 The only question now: how close is it to opus 5.5 on real work, not benchmarks. Testing it right now.
