TIL: Visual Studio can give you a list of which function to step into if there are multiple options on a line. Instead of doing the F11, Shift-F11, F11 ... dance until you reach the one you want press Alt-Shift-F11 and get a dropdown tabsoverspaces.com/233742-step-in…

Here's a potentially very useful D3D debugging tool I didn't know of: ID3DDestructionNotifier* You can get a callback when a specific D3D resource gets destroyed. I only learned about this by accident after diffing D3D headers.

Ok this took forever but by trial and error I found the problem on iPhone. Three.JS uses a bone texture and it’s sampled as fp16 by default by the driver, so there’s just not enough precision for bone xforms! Adding “highp” to sampler2D declaration fixes it.

Rebecca did a great job capturing my thoughts in this article, but I do have a few clarifications! gamesindustry.biz/articles/2019-… - I don't think AR/VR *must* converge. - I definitely don't think HMDs alone will replace PCs. I see them as one of many tools for ubiquitous computing.
