@NickClairmont1 Anyone who thinks that “science” or “AI” will definitively solve any problem in philosophy has clearly never met a philosopher

@KingsRoad1987 Any tarts in the spoons fancy it ?

@StevenGlinert What? I thought Bojo was a true hellenophile. Ah well, as they say, never meet your heroes

@JonnyRollups @Wanderingbear72 @docrussjackson Well that’s pretty normal for charities like this. After this story, I was quite concerned about that problem but am glad that they also represent left-wing causes too

@mightytrump_ @Goylent_Green I completely agree. That’s why juries must have the courage to find such defendants not guilty when they disagree with the state. Again, this is already a thing in some states, where they’d never even prosecute the case because they know no jury will convict

@mylandsinorder Jacob Rees-Mogg

@ddddddeon A much more civilised world

@MoonerSports3 @_Unknown_D_ My life insurance, or my friends/family will care for me. If not, then charity (which as a high-income person I donate often). I do however believe in some welfare state but the current British state attempts to care for far too many people who don’t need it

@ACBradley94 @susupernovas @bimbocommunist Interesting. They definitely can be separated, but my wife and I find it easier to do both ourselves, because if I want to cook a certain dish i find it better to get the required ingredients myself rather than trying to coordinate it

@DilrabaWishList @bimbocommunist I find “chores” fairly simple, because im not low-IQ. If you find looking after yourself to be too mentally taxing, then that is quite the self-report

@ColeFusionHQ Inland Revenue must be abolished and all those responsible must be brought to justice like the Nuremberg Trials

@MoonerSports3 @_Unknown_D_ Not really. First, you call them less fortunate, as if the only reason they’re not earning 300k is bad luck. No, these people are not capable of generating enough money to support themselves, why should others be expected to prop them up?

@crazybeanlady @susupernovas @bimbocommunist Please don’t reply in English if you don’t speak English well enough to understand what basic words mean

@susupernovas @bimbocommunist “Bum” “Has someone cooking for you” If you don’t even speak English well enough to know what words mean, why bother? My wife and I are both great cooks, neither of us bitch about the concept of planning what to cook

@nath_happiness @bimbocommunist I don’t deny that it may be more difficult than cooking, but it is not a different task to cooking. Planning is often the most difficult aspect of many tasks

@susupernovas @bimbocommunist Newsflash buddy, everyone has to plan a task before they do it. Eg “Not only do I paint the house, but first I must decide what colour to paint it! Deciding the colour is a different task to the actual painting!”

@CyberpunkPlato @IsaacKing314 We have the longest tax code in the world and your conclusion is somehow that it’s too short. Has it occurred to you that your solutions may have already been tried?

@HQuarterma43504 How is that surprising in any way? India was far more important than the US. There was, frankly, no empire without India
