“If a guy doesn’t wanna play, go sit down. If a coach doesn’t wanna coach, go recruit. But there’s gotta be enough people to put 5 on the floor and go play.” Tom Crean went off on teams declining their NIT invites
@barstoolsports Spot on. Teams like St. John's and Oklahoma can make an argument they belonged in the tourney, sure -- but they also lost 9 (St. John's) & 10 (OU) conference games. It's really hard to say you got "snubbed" when your conference record is ~.500 (or even below).
@barstoolsports This coming from the guy who didn’t want to “devalue” IU’s home court and host an NIT game in Bloomington. Now he’s trying to act like the NIT should be a big deal to major conference teams. What a joke
@barstoolsports So many of these guys don’t realize they may never play again. Coaches should be giving players every opportunity to play.
@barstoolsports Who wants to tell him that playing the actual game, and having pride, no longer matter in minor-league college-affiliated sports?? 😡🤮
@barstoolsports Not a Crean guy whatsoever, but he is really good at this job. Genuine passion for the game and calls it how he sees it. I find my self agreeing with him more than not.
@barstoolsports You only have a limited number of games you can play as a college athlete. As a guy who last tipped it off 40+ years ago, they will later wish they played every single game they could have.🏀🍊
@barstoolsports Michigan State, Has 14 losses and under 20 wins. How Tha fck they got in theNCAA tournament is beyond me. I believe some of the teams think that the NCAA plays favorites when it comes to Selection Sunday.
