About 10% of offers to New York City’s most elite public high schools went to Black and Latino students this year, education officials announced on Thursday, in a school system where they make up more than two-thirds of the student population overall. nyti.ms/42nj7ai

@nytimes Comments easily see through this shitty article. Can we go back to actual journalists investigating the medical side of this issue, as NYT defended publicly several months back, instead of reprinting NGO spin guides?

I would like someone, anyone, who puts forth this critique to specify the specific questions Rowling has asked that they regard as beyond the pale so the uninitiated can evaluate what's being referenced and claimed.

This NYT article is interesting because it discusses an issue progressives tend to dismiss (people feeling unsafe on subways) but takes a progressive angle (women, POC, and trans people feeling particularly unsafe). nyti.ms/3xjBxMk Two based comments below:

This is the most liked comment on a NYT article about a woman who got an elective breast reduction. Could the mainstream liberal tide be turning on the ROGD subject?

As an angry moderate Millennial child of urban liberal parents, this NYT comment gives me hope my generation. (It's from an an article on the NYC Board of Elections fiasco.)

I like reading the NYT comments on every article, but the ones where the audience goes against the elite, liberal grain always stand out. Here's the top comment on today's CA reparations news. nytimes.com/2022/12/01/bus…

This is the top Reader's Pick comment on that NYT article about schools withholding kids' gender identity changes from parents. Most other top comments are in agreement. Hopefully a sign that the predictable brigade throwing tantrums about the article are in the minority...
