Vegans are expected to be perfect. The truth is vegans are not perfect. Most of us drive cars, fly in planes and will use technology, including AI. Veganism is not about purity, it’s a basic stance against the commodification of sentient beings. Veganism is a moral baseline.

Vegans are against murdering and enslaving animals. You can drive a big gas guzzling truck and be vegan, you can fly in planes and be vegan, you can even use AI and be vegan. You can’t support the murder or enslavement of animals and be vegan. That’s it. Hope this helps.

I need to stop letting the algorithm bait me into arguing with Alaskan natives. Vegans arguing with natives is good for the meat industry. Meat consumers want to imagine themselves in solidarity with native Americans when they buy KFC Worst possible use of our time.

Veganism is the philosophy that minimizes harm and exploitation to animals as much as practicable. Vegans are not asking anyone to starve to be vegan. We asking people to make more compassionate food choices. That means eating plant based when plant based foods are available.

First, We are talking about people who choose to hunt despite having access to stores. Second, vegans believe it’s immoral to kill animals. You don’t. We have to use examples of things that you already agree are wrong to help explain why culture is a bad argument for them.

@lesbiancarlos Just using her argument style to justify something we all agree is wrong. You’ve now brought the in a new argument. You’re saying it’s ok because it’s an ethical form of killing. That’s a different argument than hers.
