Wishing our BGPS Community a happy Canada Day for 2025.
Happy Father's day to all of our families who will be celebrating all the special men in their lives.
The students at BGPS created an Arctic landscape using mixed media such as pastel and plasticene. The students learned about indigenous connections to the land.
Students in our Kindergarten are learning to create landscapes about areas around our school and next they will create pictures of an Arctic landscape. Thank you to the McMichael Gallery for this fun workshop.
Just a reminder that Monday, June 9th, is a PA Day. There is no school for students on Monday. We will see everyone back at school on Tuesday, June 10.

Our kindergarten students at BGPS have created a book telling the story of Keiko, how he was captured and then set free. Here are some pictures from the book showing Keiko in captivity and then being rescued and flying on a plane. #humanecanada #zoocheck
BGPS had a wonderful Discover Kindergarten event for our newest learners on May 29. We had several guests to support parents and answer questions and all the kids had fun trying out the different centres.
The students at BGPS had a chance to learn about Turing Tumble which is a mechanical computer game where students build marble-powered machines to solve logic puzzles. It introduces core computing concepts such as binary logic, sequencing, and cause-effect relationships.
For Wellness Week BGPS had a Henna artist come to the school and offer to create simple designs for all students. Have a look at some of the great designs!!!
