And here are the 5 things I loved about #MidnightGirls and the reasons that it is a must watch 1.) Jodi Sta Maria is the "Ate" we all need. 👑 Ibang Jodi ang mapapanood natin dito bilang Vicky. Ramdam mo yung bigat ng bawat buntong-hininga niya bilang nanay na malayo sa anak. She doesn't just act; she breathes life into the struggles of every OFW mother. Yung mga eksena nila ni Zaijan? ABANGAN NIYO! 2.) A Sisterhood that feels like home. 👯‍♀️♀️ Grabe yung chemistry nina Jodi, Sanya, Jane, at Loisa. You’ll see them transition from coworkers to family. Mapapangiti ka sa kulitan nila (shoutout sa Bakit Papa dance!), pero maiiyak ka rin pag nakita mo kung paano nila sinasalo ang isa’t isa pag pagod na sila sa mundo. 3.) Tamang timpla ng realism at drama 🎬 Walang masyadong "suspension of disbelief" dahil relatable at makatotohanan. Idagdag mo pa na hindi OA ang drama. Pinakita ni Direk Irene Villamor yung totoong buhay sa loob ng omise (bars). Hindi siya judgmental; it’s a very humanizing look at women who are often misunderstood by society. 4.) Tribute ito sa bawat OFW. 🛡️ Para ito sa mga laging nagsasabing "Okay lang ako" sa video call kahit hirap na hirap na. It’s a love letter to the sacrifices made in the dark so that their families back home can live in the light. 5.) Ensemble cast na walang tapon (kasali na rin mga supporting actors na Hapon) Lahat ng bida may shining moment, walang bano. Yung apat na bida may distinct characteristics, iba-iba ang atake pero iisa ang resulta: matinding kurot sa puso.
