You know what shook me when I was Muslim? The story of Hosea: In it, God tells a prophet to marry a woman He KNOWS will betray him. She does. She runs to other men. She ends up enslaved, sold, and used up. Essentially, she is worthless to the world. Then, God tells Hosea to go BUY HER BACK, to pay money for his own wife who cheated on him, and love her again. (Hosea 3) I thought it was the most humiliating command in the Bible. Bro, why would any man do that!? Then I realized I was exactly like the wife. I gave my heart to everything but God. I chased other masters and I sold myself cheap. In a way, I made myself worthless. But, God looked at me, the betrayer, and didn’t say “you’re not worth it.” Instead, He said, “Name the price. Actual adults vote for Republicans. That statement may anger you, but I’ll say it again; those with a level of discernment beyond that of a child vote for Republicans. I don’t do a massive amount of politics on here, or truthfully, in real life. I have no love for politicians, they are merely a necessary evil. Why the statement? Actual adults understand a few things… The current Democratic Party refuses to accept the science of biology, stymy the flow of illegal aliens, identity voters through ID, recognize your Right to firearms (as outlined in the 2nd Amendment), and reject the ideas of Karl Marx as incongruent with the Constitution. They play games on the State level to block those who seek to reveal corruption and fraud. They literally named a law after Nick Shirley to prevent others like him from revealing massive scams in their State like he did in Minnesota. These are not the actions of rational adults, but rather emotional, power-hungry children who seek to upend our Nation as long as they personally benefit. I am under no delusion that Republicans will deliver everything I want. They have been tepid at best the past two years. I’m also no Trump sycophantic. Many of his positions would have been considered middle-ground in the 1990’s Democratic Party. He and the Party he leads have managed to deliver a few victories in areas that matter. The southern border is the most secure that it’s been in my lifetime. The NFA is currently starving for oxygen. Some common sense has been applied to preventing men from parading as women to crush their athletic dreams and act as government endorsed voyeurs in bathrooms. Trump is bombastic and publicly treats the Office of the Presidency as a celebrity position. Behind the scenes, it’s clearly different. I highly approve of some of the moves he’s made and shake my head in frustration at others. Trump is not on the ballot this election. Who is? Local representatives and managers, many House Representatives and some Senators; for some of you Mayor or County Sheriff. These are the people whose decisions will truly impact your life regardless of what the man who is not up for reelection does. Rational adults vote for the representation that doesn’t promise to steal what you have, give it to noncitizens, take away your right to self-defense, upend our founding documents, and allow the replacement of equal justice with Sharia law. The current Democratic Party endorses ideas that indoctrinate your children into ideas that prevent you from ever having grandchildren. They support that which will literally end your family line; they gain power and you lose your legacy. At this point in time, that rational option is by and large the Republican Party. Will Republicans likely fail to live up to all of their campaign promises? Beyond a doubt. A mature adult knows that and yet understands the opposite choice is guaranteed destruction. Naïve children make choices on emotions, “the feels”, promises of free stuff and believing that politicians won’t disappoint them. Rational adults stoically weigh the options based on projected course and values. The Iran war will not immediately end no matter which way you vote. Gas prices also don’t turn on a dime. No matter who you choose, inflation will not immediately disappear and Congress will spend money. I have my gripes, as do you. They are valid. National suicide is not the answer. Until the Democrats produce another JFK like option, eschew their current values and platform, you must do your job as a rational adult and block them at the voting booth and in the public square. Anything less is puerile.

The actual facts about SpaceX in Ukraine: - SpaceX is a private company with zero obligation to help Ukraine, yet it stepped up when governments dragged their feet. - Starlink and Starshield are not the same. Starshield is under U.S. government control. That is who made last night’s call. - Ukraine accounts for only a micro fraction of SpaceX’s revenue, while the company bears the risks of operating amid Russian attacks and geopolitical pressure. The financial return hardly justifies the exposure. SpaceX helps because it chooses to. Starshield access, meanwhile, is up to the US government. - SpaceX has every right to set limits on how its technology is used. They own it and bear consequences for it. This is while they actively collaborate to take down Russian access to Starlink that threatens to collapse Ukraine. - Throwing tantrums over not getting all your demands, including offensive use, or simply because Elon disagrees with you, while SpaceX risks its assets to help, says plenty about your character. - Demanding a company be nationalized so you can just take its product is the loudest confession that you cannot build anything. You can only steal. - Europeans should try to build their own. As a space fan, I'd celebrate it. - I don't care about the politics. But attacking the company that stepped up when it had no obligation to help is pathetic. The truth is, without Starlink saving Ukrainian communication in the early days, their reality would have severly looked very different today, and they should be grateful.

Jamie Dimon explains why JPMorgan stopped letting managers decide who works from home: The question put to him was simple: why not let each manager decide? Dimon's answer: they tried that. "I believe in pushing power as far as down as you can. You know, regulators want all centralized. I push as far... to the branch manager, to the trader, to... with rules and, you know, constructs and stuff like that." But on remote work, the delegation failed: "We tried that with this, but the fact is they simply didn't exercise managerial skill. Everyone gave everyone everything, including people at my management table, by the way. And I eventually said, 'I've had it with that.'" He is clear that he isn't against remote work across the board. He points to a test the bank ran: "We have 10% of our people working home full time. We put virtual call centers in Baltimore and Detroit. We did it to see if they'd be effective. They're highly effective. They work from home. They're mostly minorities. That's why we did it. It's a home run. So I'm not against it where it works." His position on employees who object comes down to choice on both sides: "I also completely defend your right to say, 'I don't want to,' but I don't defend your right to tell me what J.P. Morgan's going to do. So you have a free market. You can do one thing, I can do another. That's what's called a free market." He also argues that the debate is narrower than it sounds: "You all may not know this, but 60% of Americans worked the whole time. Where did you get your Amazon packages from? Your beef, your meat, your vodka. Where did you get the diapers from?" He lists UPS and FedEx, manufacturing, agriculture, hospitals, schools, nurses, sanitation, firefighters and the military, then says: "It's only these people in the middle who complain a lot about it. I'm being quite serious." Then he gives three reasons it doesn't work in banking. 1. Young people fall behind, and the damage compounds. "The amount for the younger people being left behind. I've known this for a while. We can prove a little bit of it. And that is cumulative. It's not like the first month you're working. It's by the second year you have less people, you're put in less assignments, you know less what's going on, you have less conversations at the water cooler or in the cafeteria. So it's leaving them behind. I won't do that." He adds that bringing juniors in while their bosses stay home doesn't solve it: "And to have the younger people coming in, but not their bosses, I have a problem with that, too." 2. People think they are focused when they aren't. Dimon says he always hears "it works for me," and he describes what he saw on a call the day before: "As I was talking, there were 12 people in the room and four people on the screen, and all four people on the screen were on their phone." 3. Management happens in constant, informal back-and-forth. "When we meet in the morning, we talk, we have these debates all day long. We're talking, 'Hey, no, I checked on that. You're right about that. Here's what I think we should do.' All day long, constant update, constant share of information." And on culture, he is blunt: "It's impossible to do culture that way."
