Contrarian take: The CPI report was not as bad as initial reactions suggest. All items ex food and shelter were up only 0.1% in September. As the charts below show, food inflation will fall and rents on new listings have already rolled over. Wage growth also looks set to cool.

⚠️ '22 Fed hiking cycle is the most aggressive in 40 years. But even more unique is that the Fed wants to keep rates on hold for >12 months. They usually start cutting within 6 months of last hike. Closest example of higher for longer is '04-'06... and we know how that ended $USD

Today's ADP Nonfarm Employment (128K) Change reveal a bad data on the headline, but even more under the hood. The small business are the ones who suffer the most. they represent 50% of the GDP, so this is very bad. Is the government actions killing the small business?

Mortgage rate up to 5.46% and applications down 2.3% WoW, BUT home price still up last month. I think it's a matter of time and in the coming months we will see prices slowly come down.
