Marques’ reach is a function of telling the truth. He didn’t always have 18 million subscribers, but he had his integrity from the beginning. Expecting him to abandon that is the only thing that is “distasteful, almost unethical”.

@benthompson look at the way he "reviews" apple products he will always find a silver lining here, a silver lining there and everywhere
@benthompson @WholeMarsBlog Daniel is a complete joke and anyone who payed for his community should demand a refund for fraud
@benthompson Almost everyone in the industry treats everyone else with kid gloves because everyone works with and for each other over time. But MKBHD isn't in the industry. He's an advocate for the customer, which is rare in an industry that will give a teenager depression for 50 cents
@benthompson Agreed. Sounds like Daniel may have invested in the company and an honest reviewer nuked valuation. 😬
I love marques, thought the actual review was reasonable and fair. I’m neutral on humane, but currently have no plans to buy one. The headline feels click baity though. Across all his years of reviewing products, this is the absolute worst product he’s ever reviewed? Doesn’t quite feel right.
@benthompson Daniel is just clearly out to lunch lol
@benthompson His reach is a function of YouTube artificially putting his video on trending on the main page years ago over people like Linus, who were in the game before him.
