@austinc3301 @peterwildeford @tmkadamcz This is about performance, assuming you want to stay in the browser. If you don't need web then of course you can do whatever, but a big part of Squiggle usefulness is in view components.
@austinc3301 @peterwildeford @tmkadamcz Yeah, there's no need to rewrite squiggle-lang itself in Rust or Wasm. What you really want is to compile Squiggle code to Wasm (and maybe have performance-critical stdlib functions implemented in Wasm too).
