The backgrounds on CATDOG (1998) were whimsical indeed. And check out this exclusive Blockbuster toy. Production on this series was crazy ambitious. It was the first series they wanted to “strip” with multiple new episodes premiering each week. So much creativity under pressure on this one. Peter Hannan was a champ throughout. A pleasure to work with.
@bfredmuggs Didn’t they think it was going to be their big hit instead of SpongeBob?
@bfredmuggs The toy looks like a rejected symbol for The Blair Witch Project.
@bfredmuggs I’ll never understand why this show had way more merchandise opportunities than Hey Arnold! Same with Wild Thornberrys, for that matter.
@bfredmuggs I LOVED Catdog! Wish I still had this shirt
@bfredmuggs Looked watching Catdog with my girls back in the day!
@bfredmuggs Probably my favourite show as a kid. I don't have any way to watch it nowadays but I do think about it quite a lot. It was something special there's no doubt
@bfredmuggs I SWEAR I USED TO HAVE THIS I WISH I HAVE IT BACK
@bfredmuggs One of my favorite shows as a kid
