We don’t take photos of every fish we catch, so trust me when I tell you J Percy Priest is on fire. Post spawn on the flats in 15 to 18 FOW. Time to load up and catch them casting on the brush. I don’t mind sharing information so hit me back if you have a report.

I love the post spawn on Percy Priest. Fish have moved out and are on the deep brush. Jigs only 14 fow. Lots of 9 15/16 inch fish. Future looks healthy for this lake. 26 decent fish. Not many over 11 inches.

Crappie have been hitting pretty good at J Percy Priest. They made a run for the banks this weekend from Bryant’s Grove to 4 Corners. Minnows and corks in 6 foot or less.

J Percy Priest is in full spawn and some big females are actually done. Not all fish spawn at the same time so if the weather remains steady, the bite should continue. 4 Corners to Bryants Grove.

Priest is muddy at least to 4 corners but you can still catch a few. Be patient and the bite will be soft and scarce. Mud will clear soon and the bite and spawn will resume. 4 inches of rain sure does slow them down.

Bite is improving on J Percy Priest. Strange transition from shallow back to mid-range brush piles. Males have turned black.

Could this be the year that Kentucky Lake makes a recovery from a series of poor spawning years? Very healthy 1.8 lb crappie out of Birdsong. Not big numbers but quality fish. @luker_sam

Enjoyed stopping by @GamedayLures to purchase some custom crappie and bass lures. Ready for spring time fishing.

Percy Priest had been producing some decent size crappie until the recent heavy rains. Check out this 1.43 big crappie. Most fish have been caught up the river past the Jefferson Pike Bridge.

Percy Priest around 4 corners at 80 degrees. Crappie are beginning to school up on brush in 14 to 18 fow. If you don’t find them on top of the brush, you have to dig them out by tight lining.

Percy Priest is less than slow. Water temp is at 80 near 4 corners. Where are the crappie? Odd transition this year and the bite is almost nonexistent for some. Tried brush in all depths yesterday for 1 keeper and 8 shorts.

Kentucky Lake at Birdsong surface temp at 77 and rising fast. Crappie are not holding to cover and are scatterd at 7-12 fow. Bite is not great but we caught around 30 with 12 keepers. Hope priest rebounds this week because it was unpredictable and even the guides are struggling.
