@PoliceNG_CRU @CspIniedu @TunjiDisu1 #EndPoliceBrutality ALLEGED POLICE TORTURE IN RIVERS STATE. Chigozilem Anthony Robinson, a native of Rumuji Community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, was allegedly subjected to torture by police officers led by one Inspector Akpan. According to the information received, Robinson was accused of stealing a mobile phone belonging to Inspector Akpan’s girlfriend. However, he was later released after his innocence was established. No one should be subjected to torture or inhuman treatment over an allegation of crime. Our Rivers State Director, Adebayo Steve will begin providing updates on this case from tomorrow as we seek justice for Chigozilem Anthony Robinson. We call on the relevant authorities to investigate this allegation thoroughly and ensure that anyone found culpable is held accountable in accordance with the law. JUSTICE MUST PREVAIL! @PoliceNG #SayNoToTorture #JusticeForChigozilem #RiversState

A CRY FOR HELP!!! I’m currently admitted at navy hospital, borokiri port harcourt. I’ve been here for over a week now, I’m sick, I’m battling with kidney and liver infection, my womb is infected, I also have fibroid, peptic ulcer and hepatitis C.

This is the horrible state of SARS Road in Port Harcourt. SARS Road is one of the major link Roads to Port Harcourt international airport in the oil-rich Rivers State.

Nigeria is going to get hit the most by the super El Niño??????? WHY ARE WE QUIEEEETTTTTT????????? WHY ARE WE NOT RAISING AWARENESS ALREADYYY??????

Am I overthinking this? Because I am genuinely struggling to understand what is happening in Nigeria. @inecnigeria has disregarded the Electoral Act by failing to publish the voters’ register online for public scrutiny, even after the statutory 90-day deadline has passed. Even under Mahmood Yakubu, the register was published online, with a mechanism for complaints and objections. Today, NOTHING! And somehow, the country has moved on like nothing happened. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? Apart from @ARISEtv and @fijnigeria, where is the Nigerian media? Where are @YIAGA, @EUinNigeria @EU_SDGN , @NDI and the other civil society organisations? @NigeriaNDCHQ .@ADCNig ARE YOU PEOPLE SLEEPING? Are you actually preparing for this election? This is the voters’ register we are talking about. THE VERY FOUNDATION OF AN ELECTION! INEC has effectively said, “To hell with public scrutiny. Do your worst.” And our collective response is SILENCE. I am genuinely pained. We complain about electoral malpractice and compromised institutions, yet when it is time to demand accountability BEFORE an election, everybody suddenly goes quiet. Must we wait until votes are cast and results are disputed before we start shouting? Seriously, am I the only one who finds this silence deeply disturbing?

When Hilda Baci stood for days to put Nigeria on the world map, the entire South stood still, cheered her on, and carried her to victory on the wings of massive support. Today, our very own brother from the North, Abdulkadir Basari, is at MAAUN Kano, pushing through a grueling 120-hour non-stop sewing marathon to break a Guinness World Record—not just for fame, but to sew uniforms for less-privileged kids! Why is Arewa so silent? We must learn to celebrate and lift our own champions. Let’s make some noise for him! 🧵

The solution to the problem of bandits This is a small unmanned aerial vehicle (drone) that I built, and its size is no bigger than the palm of a hand However, it can carry out surveillance ⚠️🚷 It has a small camera that can enter every corner and narrow passage to capture videos and photos without anyone knowing it has arrived. After it captures photos or videos, those controlling it will be able to see them live It will be very helpful in detecting forest bandits easily, especially for the military Please tag security agencies and share

@q_mesioye While you are on the right track (Lagos is not the only state with a non-indigenous name), using Port Harcourt as an example is off because Rivers State does not have a central language, much like Yoruba for Lagos.

The problem with Nigerians is when there's a call to boycott sth for certain reasons, a large share of the people involved will not honor that call because they feel said reason is not their "portion." This leaves those who actually do the boycotting more prone to punishment.

nobody is serving for 77k. it's a requirement for jobs and postgraduate admission, and that's why people do it. the question is why it's required,not why people comply

@Odogwunwanyii Hmm.

@ChuksEricE If we were serious citizens, we would boycott this NYSC program nationwide until this kidnapping issue is resolved, but no, prospective corps members still travel far distances with the mentality of "it can't be me" until it also happens to them. Tomorrow, another set will travel
