It also occurs to me - these companies have always called us drivers “partners.” It was a way to exploit us, to deny us basic labor rights. The strategy is all in #uberfiles. It’s a bit stunning to hear that Uber is now calling the Belgian union a “perfect partner.”

Exactly. California taxpayers can't be expected to foot the bill for the lawlessness of @Uber @lyft. These multi-billion dollar corporations need to pay their fair share like all other law-abiding companies do. Like, now.
