For too long, we’ve operated under the assumption that we can sub out the formative, foundational work and only focus on the top level design and knowledge work. It’s akin to hollowing out the base of a pyramid, the top will collapse once enough of the foundation is gone.

This lower section of roof is a much slacker pitch than the rest of the roof and consequently wore quicker. We removed the old thatch and rethatched up to the point where the roof became a steeper pitch.#Thatching.
