🚨 A CU Professor told Coach Prime that his players were goofing off in class... Deion proceeded to CHEW THEM OUT in front of the whole team 😂 The teacher sent Coach Prime a fiery e-mail last month, claiming that his players "didn't follow material," and also "made it clear that they don't want to be in the classroom." The Professor specifically complained about the effort of the student-athletes. They would join Zoom Breakout rooms for attendance, but then stayed silent & contributed nothing when discussion began 🤦♂️ Instead of ignoring the Professor's letter, Deion decided to address the team. Here was his important message... 🎙️ | Coach Prime: "Now what bothers me severely, is all the guys we're about to see...[Coach Phillips], let me know if they have a draft grade." 😳 And Coach Prime's totally correct here. Many of his players won't play professionally, but Deion still wants them to be great men when they leave... After calling out the individual players, Deion ended by explaining that being a man is not ducking responsibility, whether it be on the field or in the classroom 💯 Coach Prime not only held his players accountable, he provided them all an IMPORTANT life lesson. This is why so many recruits are coming to Boulder...
Credit for holding your players accountable 👏
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders Prime didn’t even go to class in his last semester at Florida State. Talk about setting a horrible example!
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders Funny how no other coach needs recognition for holding there players accountable.
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders "This why so many recruits are coming to Boulder" 7. 7 recruits are coming to Boulder. 7.
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders “They would join Zoom Breakout rooms for attendance, but then stayed silent & contributed nothing when discussion began” So what. I do that daily at work.
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders I get the chewing out but what these kids really need is help. It’s very intimidating when you didn’t grow up an academic. Deion really should make sure the kids are talking to counselors and psychologists.
I was told at UCLA Chip Kelly did some things right. One was to have the position coaches get the class schedules for their players and then show up in class and make his players sit in the first two rows, and be engaged. If they didnt they paid at practice. No academically ineligible football players in his questionable tenure. Questionable for other reasons.
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders Give me a break
@bluebloodsbias @DeionSanders He did exactly what he should
