We need to be careful that this doesn't backfire. If social media (SM) companies are taxed this way, prices get raised for the creators & small businesses that use their tools. AI is everywhere now; singling out SM feels like it ignores the reality of how AI tech is being built.

Tech companies are causing disruptions to jobs and our economy, and middle class families are bearing the consequences. To ensure they pay their fair share I’m proposing a tax on social media companies that will support Minnesota workers impacted by artificial intelligence.

@GovTimWalz A targeted tax like this often results in companies passing those costs directly to the users and small businesses that rely on these platforms to survive.

@GovTimWalz Does this risk making social media more expensive for the middle-class families we’re trying to protect? AI is a global technological shift, not something created by social media platforms alone. Taxing the adopters instead of the creators feels like it might miss the mark.

🚨🚨 BREAKING: Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has just released HUNDREDS OF BOMBSHELL RUSSIAGATE DOCUMENTS proving that Barack Obama personally ordered CIA agents to manufacture false intelligence on President Trump and was actively “working with the enemy” to undermine and erode Americans’ confidence in our democracy and President Trump’s LANDSLIDE 2016 VICTORY. This was a coup attempt by Barack Hussein Obama and his cronies… As Jesse Watters said “Whatever happens to these guys is not revenge… it’s accountability. And it’s time for people to pay the price.” ARREST OBAMA NOW!

For more context Marianne Bachmeier (3 June 1950 – 17 September 1996) was a West German woman who shot and killed Klaus Grabowski, a man being tried for the rape and murder of her daughter Anna, in an act of vigilantism in the District Court of Lübeck in 1981. The case sparked extensive media coverage and public debate. As a result, Bachmeier was convicted of manslaughter and unlawful possession of a firearm. She was sentenced to six years and released on probation after serving three. Bachmeier moved abroad before returning to Germany after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She died at the age of 46 and was buried next to her seven-year-old daughter, Anna, in Burgtor Cemetery, Lübeck. On 5 May 1980, when Anna was seven years old, she had an argument with her mother and decided to skip school. On this day she was abducted by Klaus Grabowski, a 35-year-old butcher, whose home she had visited before to play with his cats. He held Anna for several hours at his home, sexually assaulted her and ultimately strangled her with a pair of his fiancée's tights. According to the prosecutor, he then tied the girl up and packed her into a box, which he left on the shore of a canal. Grabowski's fiancée then turned him in to the police. Grabowski was a convicted sex offender and had previously been sentenced for the sexual abuse of two girls. In 1976, he voluntarily submitted to chemical castration, though it was later revealed that he subsequently underwent hormone treatment to try to reverse the castration. Once arrested, Grabowski stated that Anna wanted to tell her mother that he had abused her to extort money from him. He said his fear of going back to prison prompted him to kill her. Vigilante justice in the courtroom On 6 March 1981, the third day of the trial and around 10 a.m, Bachmeier smuggled a Beretta 70 into the courtroom of Lübeck District Court, room 157, and fatally shot Grabowski. She aimed the gun at his back and fired seven times; six shots hit Grabowski,[b] who was killed almost instantly. Bachmeier then lowered her gun and was apprehended without resistance. Sentence for manslaughter On 2 November 1982, Bachmeier was initially charged in court with murder. Later the prosecution dropped the murder charge. After 28 days of negotiations, the board agreed on the verdict. Four months after the opening of proceedings, she was convicted on 2 March 1983 by the Circuit Court Chamber of the District Court of Lübeck for manslaughter and unlawful possession of a firearm. The defense's argument that the act was not premeditated was mostly upheld by the court. She was sentenced to six years in prison but was released after serving three

The bottom line for travel this week is as follows... Travel on Tuesday is the best plan. Wednesday travel will be heavily impaired by accumulating snow. Thu-Sat travel will be heavily impaired by blizzard conditions and dangerous wind chills if you get stranded. #mnwx #wiwx

@BillyBaldwin @CalltoActivism The issue is she broke Russian laws and rightfully got jailed. Giving Russia back an int’l arms dealer??? For fucks sake! If his release causes the death of even one American, was it worth the trade???!!! There’s obviously more to this story then ‘We the people’ are being told.
