@GMRench You boys like to reduce everything to simple Us vs Them. BUT there's those who didn't regard mandates during COVID, don't blurb wokeness, and have no tolerance for TGC who still dislike and warn about the Moscow Mood -- and its gospel, ecclesiology, fake machoism.
Basically, if you watch the Fox News morning show and go to Chik-fil-A sometime during the day, you've got all the American Civil Religion you need...you're golden!
The false conclusion is that politics don't matter at all and that Christians should be accused of idolatry for thinking they do matter and therefore stop resisting. None of that has anything to do with the spirituality of the church.

My favorite part about liberation theologians is where they cite Exodus to argue for the "oppressed" to fight their "oppressors" and then, after winning some victory, to just hang around to guilt trip the "oppressor" instead of, you know, doing an exodus.
As a spirituality of the church guy I would be against trying to settle political questions (proper) in the church, but as a CN I am happy to settle political questions politically and I think deportation is a great method 😀
